When Failure Is Not An Option: Trends in Modern Military and Aerospace Applications

This week’s podcast is all about military and aerospace designs! My first guest is Jake Braegelmann from New Wave DV. Jake and I discuss the advantages of PMC/XMC cards for modern warfare applications and the benefits that New Wave DV’s Interface IP Cores and FPGA/Interface cards bring to these designs. Also this week, Mike Walmsley from TE Connectivity joins me this week to chat about recent trends in video processing and the video protocols needed to support high resolution imaging. To finish things up, Billy Rhea from Airborn and I discuss connectors for rugged applications, what special design requirements are needed for these kinds of applications, and what plating materials are best for rugged designs.
