PCB Town Square

AltiumLive 2019 Preview

In this week’s episode of Fish Fry, Judy Warner gives us a special sneak peek into this year’s AltiumLive PCB Design Summit. Judy and I discuss the details of this third annual PCB design conference, how the goals of this conference have evolved over the years, and why Judy hopes this event will become the PCB Village Square of the EE industry.  Also this week, we investigate a new Kickstarter campaign that hopes to cure cancer – with a little help from the International Space Station.

Speeding Up Large-Scale EM Simulation of ICs Without Compromising Accuracy

Sponsored by Cadence Design Systems

With growing on-chip RF content, electromagnetic (EM) simulation of passives is critical — from selecting the right RF design candidates to detecting parasitic coupling. Being on-chip, accurate EM analysis requires a tie in to the process technology with process design kits (PDKs) and foundry-certified EM simulation technology. Anything short of that could compromise the RFIC’s functionality. Learn how to get the highest-in-class accuracy and 10X faster analysis.

SLX FPGA: Accelerate the Journey from C/C++ to FPGA

Sponsored by Silexica

High-level synthesis (HLS) brings incredible power to FPGA design. But harnessing the full power of HLS with FPGAs can be difficult even for the most experienced engineering teams. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton chats with Jordon Inkeles of Silexica about using the SLX FPGA tool to truly harness the power of HLS with FPGAs, getting better results faster - regardless of whether you are approaching from the hardware or software domain.
