High-Voltage Contactor Offers Exceptional Performance in Harsh Military Systems

HARRISBURG, Pa. – November 15, 2016 –TE Connectivity (TE) (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, introduces its KILOVAC EV202 high-voltage contactor. Hermetically sealed and designed for harsh environments, these double-pole 350 amp DC contactors offer exceptional performance in an extremely small and lightweight device. EV202 contactors provide reliable and long-lasting performance in commercial and military electric ground vehicles, energy and battery storage systems, and power distribution and motion control applications.

Suitable for use in most explosive and corrosive environments, EV202 contactors increase the flexibility and reliability of harsh military systems. These contactors feature high break levels —2000 A at 270 VDC and 700 A at 400 VDC—  and are available with 12 or 24 volt coils to match a variety of power systems.

“Our new EV202 contactor is a DPST-NO high-voltage contactor that offers extremely high performance in terms of its size and weight,” said Earle Alldredge, product manager of global aerospace, defense & marine at TE Connectivity.

In addition to being hermetically sealed, EV202 contactors are available with two optional auxiliary contacts, include bi-directional switching and can mount in any direction. The contactors have an integrated coil economizer with coil suppression that is EMC compliant to help prevent radiation from coil emissions.
