Tektronix Introduces iPhone App for Source Measure Unit Instruments

BEAVERTON, Ore. April 19, 2016 – Tektronix, a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, today announced that the Keithley IVy app for working more efficiently and conveniently with 2600B source measure unit (SMU) instruments is available now for iPhone® and IPad® devices from the App Store. An updated version of the app with support for wireless instrument connection has also been released for Android devices on Google Play.

The IVy app offers users a fast and easy way to perform current-voltage (I-V) characterization, troubleshoot a device and collaborate with team members. It allows engineers to visualize, interact with, and share measurement results, helping them to save time and increase productivity.

Taking full advantage of Apple and Android device interfaces, IVy gives simultaneous control over source levels and monitoring of test results. This makes it easy to visually analyze I-V characteristics, DUT stability, response time, or drift in a circuit using normal touch zooming and scrolling. Test data and graphs can be shared with colleagues using typical mobile sharing apps like email, messaging or file sharing services.

The free app is compatible with Keithley Series 2600B SourceMeter® Source Measure Unit (SMU) Instruments running firmware version 3.1.0 or above.
