TriLite Brings Trixel® 3 Cube to CES as Smart Glasses Re-Enter the Spotlight

Ultra-compact cube-shaped projection display targets next-generation AR devices and automotive applications

Vienna, Austria – December 18, 2025 – With smart glasses regaining momentum ahead of CES 2026, TriLite will be in Las Vegas to demonstrate its Trixel® 3 Cube display engine, designed to support slimmer, more power-efficient AR glasses.

At CES, TriLite will highlight the Trixel® 3 Cube, an ultra-compact, cube-shaped laser beam scanning (LBS) projector developed to simplify system integration and support scalable manufacturing. By eliminating the need for relay optics, the Cube reduces overall display volume and enables greater freedom in industrial design – key requirements for wearable AR devices.

While TriLite’s primary focus remains consumer AR, the same LBS platform is also being evaluated for automotive display applications, including head-up displays and free-space projection. These applications share common requirements around efficiency, robustness and integration flexibility, underlining the versatility of the Cube architecture.

TriLite’s demonstrations will show how its software-defined LBS platform supports precise, dynamic projection while shifting system complexity from hardware to software – an approach intended to support both product differentiation and manufacturability at scale.

Kevin Mak, Principal Analyst for Automotive Market Analysis at TechInsights, said: “Automakers are increasingly seeking advancements in Augmented Reality Head-Up Displays (AR HUDs). TriLite is addressing key limitations of conventional HUD technologies, including the size and inflexibility of TFT-based systems and the optical complexity and efficiency challenges associated with DLP solutions.”
