New Moxa EDS-4000 and G4000 series of Industrial Ethernet Switches are now available from Impulse Embedded

Next-generation Industrial Networking Solutions Help Futureproof Industrial Automation

Impulse Embedded, a leading provider of industrial computing systems and solutions, can now supply the new Moxa EDS-4000 and G4000 series of Industrial Ethernet Switches. Systems integrators can now design futureproof industrial networks that strengthen operational resilience in industrial applications such as power, transportation, factory automation, rail, smart cities, ITS and marine.

The new EDS-(G)4000 series of industrial Din-Rail mounted switches are the next step in the modernisation of Moxa’s Industrial Ethernet Range. 68 different models offer from 8 to 14 ports and support a comprehensive range of network speeds up to 2.5Gbit/s network bandwidth. Optional features include PoE, and support of various forms of communication media including Ethernet, SFP, multi-mode and single-mode fibre. AC and DC input versions are available with a wide operating temperature range up to -40°C to +75°C.

Designed with cyber security in mind, the EDS-4000 and G4000 boast the world’s first ISA/IEC 62443-4-2 compliant networking range ensuring that the switches themselves are cyber secure in design and function. ISA/IEC 62433 compliance is a series of network standards developed by the ISA99 committee and adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), offering a flexible framework to address security vulnerabilities in Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) in the present day and the future.

The compact DIN-Rail switches have been created with a flexible removable design that allows the user to rotate the power inputs between two settings – vertical and front-facing. Combined with its compact size allowing for space-restricted installations, this modular power design allows for easy replacement of the power unit in the event of failure without having to remove the complete device.

MX-NOS is Moxa’s secure network operating system that features a comprehensive selection of device management features. It uses an intuitive HTML5-based web UI for consistent cross-device usability and harmonious integration with other Moxa software suites like MXview, allowing users to easily and effectively monitor and visualise their industrial network topology and devices.

Impulse Embedded are an official UK Moxa distributor and part of the Moxa Technical College allowing us to offer in-house training to all of our customers on the full range of Moxa Networking products.

With over 7 years of experience in supplying and supporting Moxa products in the UK, our technical support team can help you design and build your network from the ground up whilst technically supporting the full Moxa product range through its lifetime completely free of charge.

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
