element14 Community Launches Sensors Design Contest

Chicago – September 30, 2020: element14, an Avnet community, has launched its latest Project14 design contest on sensorswhich asks members of the online community to create a project celebrating electronic sensors by incorporating them into a project design, featuring them in a control system, or creating something with sensor data.

Project14 is a monthly design competition open to makers and engineers of all backgrounds and skill levels. Project14 was developed to promote shared learning and cooperation among members of the element14 community. All Project14 challenges are based on suggestions from element14 Community members and each month’s theme is selected by a public poll.

Participants are asked to document their progress through a series of blogs, with the three best projects earning prizes. The grand prize winner will receive a $200 shopping cart and three first prize winners will each receive a $100 shopping cart from Newark.

To enter the Project14 Sensors Design Contest, participants can register an account at the element14 Community and submit a blog entry detailing their idea and how they plan to develop it.

Submissions are open until November 16. For more information including full terms and conditions, visit https://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-95558/l/project14-build-projects-around-sensors-design-use-in-a-control-system-or-do-something-interesting-with-sensor-data

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
