Green Hills Software to Participate and Exhibit at Texas Instruments Boston and Detroit 2013 Technology Days

SANTA BARBARA, CA — September 18, 2013 — Green Hills Software, the largest independent vendor of safety and security certified embedded software solutions, will demonstrate the latest in high performance, secure and reliable multicore software solutions in addition to mixed-criticality application consolidation on an Android-based platform at Texas Instruments Technology Days in Boston, MA, September 19 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and in Novi, MI, September 26 at the Diamond Center at Suburban Collection Showcase.

Boston Demonstrations

  • Complete Embedded Software Solutions for Texas Instruments OMAP™ 5 Applications Processor and Sitara™ ARM Cortex-based Processors

Green Hills Software will demonstrate its latest high-performance, single and multicore software solutions optimized for the Texas Instruments line of ARM-based processors. From its safety- and security-certified INTEGRITY® real-time operating system and small footprint µ-velOSity™ microkernel, to its award-winning MULTI® integrated development environment and C/C++ cross compilers, Green Hills is the embedded industry gold standard for embedded software solutions. The demonstrations will show how developers can tackle the growing complexity when using today’s advanced single and multicore SoCs through intuitive, easy-to-use debug capabilities and off-the-shelf operating systems and middleware – enabling fastest time to develop, highest performance, unsurpassed system availability and lowest cost to deployment.

Detroit Demonstrations

  • Safe, Reliable Android-based Infotainment Head Unit and Real-time Cluster Consolidation on a Texas Instruments OMAP 5 Applications Processor

Green Hills Software will demonstrate the latest update to its infotainment reference solution, which is adding the capability to safely isolate and run a real-time graphical cluster in combination with the Android-based infotainment capabilities – all on a single OMAP 5 applications processor. Green Hills Automotive solutions leverage a decade of proven cross-industry capabilities for combining mixed-criticality functions by showing Android running as a secure guest on the INTERGITY Multivisor™ virtualization technology on one display while executing the more critical Altia-based graphics cluster as a native INTEGRITY application on a second display. This demonstration highlights the successful, guaranteed separation and isolation between the head unit and cluster when using Green Hills Software’s safe and secure INTEGRITY real-time operating system.
