New Extendable C Callable Optimised MINPACK Library for TI DSPs

October 2012, Northwich, Cheshire. Kane Computing Ltd (KCL) is pleased to announce a new Extendable C Callable Software Library for TI DSPs, the GDD5000-Optimised-MINPACK.

The GDD5000 is a set of functions for solving non-linear equation solutions and non-linear least squares problems.

The library provides a set of routines to solve unconstrained and constrained optimisation problems for univariate and multivariate functions, systems of non-linear equations and non-linear least squares problems.

The optimisation algorithm implemented in the library uses function values only for first and possible second order derivatives (gradient vector, Hessian and Jacobian matrices), calculated either analytically or using finite difference approximation.

The library is supported for use in any development environment using TI Code Generation Tools for GCC/++ toolchain. All functions are C callable and comply with TI’s C/C++ ABI/EABI calling conventions.

The library is targeted to be used with a range of TI signal processor families and GPU, including C64x/C64+, C67x/C67+, C674x, KeyStone C66x, DA7/8, OMAP L-137/138, Integra C6A816x, DaVinci DM816x, DM814x, Sitara ARM Cortex-AB with a floating point coprocessor (AM389x, AM387x, AM35x).

The library can be used in a wide variety of applications including: control, industrial, image processing/computer vision and robotics.
