Introducing the industry leading HDAV2000 for advanced video and audio capture

New York, USA and Cambridge, England, September 25 2012 – Advanced Micro Peripherals (AMP), a world leader in the design and development of high quality embedded video solutions, is delighted to announce the introduction of the HDAV2000, an ultra-low latency, high definition H264 codec.

Built on established and trusted AMP technology, the HDAV2000 encodes video to industry standard H.264 format and delivers high video compression ratios together with unprecedented ultra-low latency performance.

The HDAV2000 is completely reliable, rugged and robust and performs consistently across a wide spectrum of demanding applications including remote moving platforms, remotely guided vehicles, UAVs, vehicle cameras, remote video surveillance, electronic news gathering and many other situations where high quality video, audio and low latency are pre-requisites.

The HDAV2000 also supports hardware decoding to enable previously recorded video and audio to be output via HDMI, SDI and composite outputs.

Commenting, Lee Foss, Advanced Micro Peripherals’ Founder and CEO said: “The HDAV2000 incorporates cutting edge technology and sets the benchmark for ultra-low latency, high performance video and audio capture.”

As with all AMP components, the HDAV2000 is backed by comprehensive and easy to use software tools to drastically reduce time to market and comes with full technical support from Advanced Micro Peripherals’ video experts.
