Maxim to Present Technical Training Seminars and Demos at X-Fest 2012

Sunnyvale, CA– March 15, 2012 – Maxim Integrated Products Inc. (NASDAQ: MXIM) today announced that the company is collaborating with Xilinx and Avnet during the 2012 season of X-Fest. Maxim will provide content for several technical seminars and present demos on the company’s highly integrated analog and mixed-signal solutions for the Xilinx® 7 series and Kintex™-7field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and the Zynq™-7000 Extended Processing Platform.

X-Fest 2012 is a series of free, day-long technical training seminars cohosted by Xilinx and Avnet from April through September 2012. The seminars are presented in 22 locations worldwide. Attendees customize their course by picking up to four seminars from among the unique training tracks offered. Maxim will be present in three tracks, the FPGA Fundamentals, Applications, and Zynq-7000 EPP sessions.

“X-Fest is a great environment to discuss real-life challenges with fellow FPGA and embedded systems designers,” said Jason Green, Vice President of Global Distribution at Maxim Integrated Products. “Maxim helps FPGAs interface to the analog world around us. Our products and reference designs will feature the latest, highly integrated, analog and mixed-signal products that complement Xilinx FPGAs and help simplify design,” Green added.

Demos will highlight ease of use with Maxim’s power-management ICs, ultra-low-power ADCs, robust yet cost-effective IP security devices, high-precision voltage references, wideband DACs, and more. Field Application Engineers (FAEs) will be present to discuss solutions for attendees’ next-generation design challenges.

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
