Timesys® Announces Support for Intel® Atom™ Processor N2000 and D2000 Series-based Platform

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Timesys Corporation (http://www.timesys.com), provider of the industry’s most-easy-to-use and affordable embedded Linux solutions, today announced support for the new Intel® Atom™ processor N2000 and D2000 series.

Timesys is a General Member of the Intel® Embedded Alliance and has been a long-time provider of embedded Linux support for the Intel® Atom™ processor family. Current Timesys support for Intel® Atom™ processors includes LinuxLink support for the Intel® Atom™ E6XX series, Intel®Atom™ Z530 series and Intel® Atom™ Z510 series. Timesys is committed to aligning its embedded Linux support with the Intel® Atom™ roadmap and is pleased to announce the company will expand its LinuxLink offering to include support for the Intel® Atom™ processor N2000 and D2000 series-based platform.

Timesys’s LinuxLink is a highly customizable, commercial embedded Linux development environment that eliminates the complexity and risks associated with using open source software. LinuxLink provides everything developers need from getting started to deployment and maintenance of highly differentiated embedded Linux products.

With a LinuxLink subscription for Intel® Atom™ processors, customers benefit from a comprehensive solution that allows them to take full advantage of all the hardware features the Intel® Atom™ processor offers, including hardware accelerated graphics.
