Renesas Electronics Europe Announces the Availability of Four New 32-bit All Flash™ Microcontrollers in the V850E2M/MN4 Family – the World’s Highest Performance Industrial Embedded Flash Microcontroller

Dusseldorf, November 18, 2011  –  Renesas Electronics Europe , a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced the availability of four new 32-bit All Flash™ microcontrollers (MCUs), the uPD70F3515, uPD70F3514, uPD70F3512 and the uPD70F3510. They provide processing performance of up to 1024 Dhrystone MIPS (million instructions per second, Note 1) at a clock speed of 200 megahertz (MHz). This makes the V850E2M/MN4 the world’s highest-performance industrial embedded Flash microcontroller. The new MCUs have up to two built-in CPU cores, up to 2MB of Flash memory and are available in a 304-pin fine pitch ball grid array (FBGA) package. Single-core versions have 64KB of RAM and dual core versions have 128KB of RAM.

The new V850E2M/MN4 family of high-performance, single-chip MCUs is ideal for factory automation (FA) systems, drives, servo drives, industrial inverters and household equipment.

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
