PICMG 1.3 Industrial SBC with Intel® Core™ i7/i5 Processor and Intel® QM57 Chipset

Munich, September 2011 – The new PICMG 1.3 industrial Slot-CPU 96M4371o from DSM Computer is based on the Intel® QM57 power-saving mobile chipset and is making its debut appearance at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES in Hall 7, stand 150. The compact SBC features an Intel® Core™ i7-620M processor with 2.66 GHz and 4 MB cache or i5-520M with 2.4 GHz and 3 MB cache. The budget variant incorporates the Intel® Celeron® P4500, running at 1.86 GHz. All three processor types come with two CPU cores and are on the Intel® Embedded Roadmap. The powerful slot CPU comes with two DIMM slots for DDR3 1066/800 memory modules, with a total maximum capacity of 8GB.

The front panel of the 96M4371o Single Board Computer provides two fast Dual GigaBit LAN interfaces on the I/O slot cover. Both the on-board LAN Controllers Intel® 82577LM and Intel®L82583V support 10/100/1000 Base-T/TX and Intel® AMT 6.0 for remote maintenance. The DVI interface is also accessed via the slot cover.

In line with the PICMG 1.3 standard, there are four PCI and four PCI Express™ x1 interfaces as well as a PCI Express™ x16 interface. Eight USB 2.0 ports, 8 x GPIO and HD audio are offered in addition to numerous parallel and serial interfaces. The SATA interface enables up to four SATA II 300 drives to be connected, supporting RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5. The industrial SBC can be easily expanded via a Mini PCI Express™ slot.

The 96M4371o Slot-CPU with a full length of 338 mm is specified for an operating temperature range of 0 to 60° C and a non-condensing humidity of 5 – 90%. The System Hardware Monitor ensures reliable operation by keeping an eye on voltage, fans and temperature. The AMI System BIOS embedded in the flash ROM supports an extended power-saving mode.

DSM Computer can be found at SPS/IPC/DRIVES in Hall 7, Booth 150.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
