Silicon oscillator company eoSemi names Intralink as business development partner for East Asia

Congleton, UK, October 3, 2011: eoSemi, the all-silicon oscillator company, has appointed Intralink as strategic sales partner for the East Asian markets of Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea.

Headquartered in Oxford, UK, with offices in Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei and Seoul, as well as locations across Europe and the United States, Intralink creates and implements business development strategies for Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea to enable technology companies to gain entry to these markets and establish a permanent presence through a local subsidiary, acquisition or partnership.

eoSemi has a patent pending for an all-silicon replacement technology for quartz crystals using standard CMOS processes. Initially targeting the timing reference market, eoSemi’s new silicon-only products will be substantially smaller in size than existing quartz crystal devices, and will offer increased reliability as well as significant reductions in overall system cost for applications spanning industrial, medical and consumer microprocessor-based systems, and mobile handsets.

Intralink CEO Greg Sutch commented, “We believe that eoSemi’s unique all-silicon technology has huge market potential as it overcomes the cost and size limitations of today’s timing references. There are substantial growth opportunities in East Asia and we look forward to working closely with eoSemi’s management team to build and execute a successful strategy to deliver this exciting new technology into the hands of customers.”

Steve Cliffe, VP Sales and Marketing, eoSemi, added, “Intralink has more than 20 years’ experience in driving business development initiatives in the East Asian markets, and their expertise is strongly endorsed by the many companies they have helped to gain access and succeed in these markets. With their deep knowledge of the cultural and commercial challenges in East Asia, and an ability to quickly understand complex technical issues, Intralink’s contribution will be significant in the introduction and commercial success of eoSemi’s all-silicon products in the region.”

Achieve Greater Design Flexibility and Reduce Costs with Chiplets

Sponsored by Keysight

Chiplets are a new way to build a system-on-chips (SoCs) to improve yields and reduce costs. It partitions the chip into discrete elements and connects them with a standardized interface, enabling designers to meet performance, efficiency, power, size, and cost challenges in the 5 / 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) era. This white paper will discuss the shift to chiplet adoption and Keysight EDA's implementation of the communication standard (UCIe) into the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).
