Micro Digital Partners with Blue Water Embedded, Inc.

Micro Digital is pleased to announce its partnership with Blue Water Embedded Inc. and to offer Prism™ with Micro Digital’s SMX® RTOS product line. Prism is optimized for embedded devices. It and SMX form a small footprint solution ideal for resource-constrained applications that require advanced user interfaces, such as medical, industrial, telematics, security, and consumer devices.

Prism is a family of leading-edge graphical user interface (GUI) development tools and libraries created by Blue Water Embedded, Inc. It is a complete framework and toolset for designing and deploying advanced graphical interfaces on embedded systems. Prism provides the quality tools a developer needs to make his UI vision a reality. The Prism software includes the Prism Runtime Framework GUI toolkit, Prism Insight™, a desktop GUI design and resource editing tool, and Prism Micro™, a GUI toolkit for monochrome to 8-bit color depth embedded applications.

Prism Insight allows complete user interface design using a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG environment. Its resource editor permits defining buttons, menus, and other widgets with the exact appearance required. The Animation Designer allows specifying screen flows and selecting from a wide range of built-in or custom screen transition effects and animations. Prism Insight generates output that is compatible with the Prism Runtime Framework. Prism Insight can produce any combination of supported data output formats (ANSI C/C++ source code, XML screen description files, and binary resource files), ready to compile and run on the target. Prism is delivered with full source code and is royalty free. Contact us today for a free evaluation kit.

“We look forward to working with Ken Maxwell’s new company, Blue Water Embedded, as we have worked with his previous company for many years in the past. We have come to expect the best in GUI software and product support.” said Ralph Moore, President of Micro Digital. “Although Blue Water is a new company, Ken and his team have been a major factor in the embedded GUI industry, for over a decade, and we expect that tradition to continue well into the future.”

“It is exciting to be teaming with Micro Digital again and ensuring its SMX technology, integrated with Prism, can provide the complete GUI solution targeted at the cost-sensitive, performance focused embedded market,” said Ken Maxwell, President of Blue Water Embedded. “Our new embedded GUI software products are ideal for today’s sophisticated embedded devices and will greatly improve the development process for embedded engineers.”

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
