SecureRF to Demonstrate Future-Proof Security for the IoT at the ST Developers Conference 2017

Shelton, CT, September 5, 2017 – SecureRF Corporation, a leading provider of quantum-resistant security tools for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced today that they will be demonstrating their security solutions at the ST Developers Conference 2017 in Santa Clara, CA on September 6. SecureRF, a conference Silver Sponsor, will showcase their authentication and data protection solutions for low-resource processors and embedded devices.

SecureRF’s Walnut Digital Signature Algorithm (WalnutDSA) is a lightweight, quantum-resistant signature scheme for use in passive and low-energy IoT devices. It delivers more efficient performance over solutions like the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) by utilizing SecureRF’s breakthrough linear-in-time Group Theoretic methods.

At the event, SecureRF will demonstrate the performance difference between WalnutDSA verification and the ECDSA verification tool found in STMicroelectronics’ STM32CubeExpansion crypto library. The demo provides a visual comparison between WalnutDSA’s 2.31 millisecond execution time and ECDSA’s 74.8 millisecond time to complete the same operation.

SecureRF will also demonstrate its Ironwood Key Agreement Protocol (Ironwood KAP). This is a quantum-resistant, Diffie-Hellman style authentication protocol. Ironwood is optimized for both cost and power and delivers at least thirty times more efficient performance than Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC).

SecureRF’s CTO, Derek Atkins, commented: “SecureRF’s fast, small-footprint security solutions provide strong authentication and data protection for a variety of devices, such as STM32 microcontrollers. Engineers working with ARM-based MCUs can easily and quickly implement WalnutDSA and Ironwood KAP, which will protect their devices even when quantum computers become available and render currently used methods obsolete.”

The ST Developers Conference 2017 is a free one-day interactive summit that will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA onSeptember 6, 2017. To request a meeting, contact SecureRF at info@securerf.com or +1 203-227-3151.
