Pasternack Releases New Low Profile High Performance Right Angle Test Cables Up to 27 GHz

Irvine, CA – Pasternack, a leading provider of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products, introduces an all new family of flexible high performance right angle test cables with low profile design. This release consists of 16 unique assemblies covering a frequency range from DC to 27 GHz for the SMA versions and DC to 18 GHz for the Type-N and TNC terminated cables.

Pasternack’s flexible high performance right angle test cables have a low profile design and are rated up to 27 GHz. The right angle SMA and Type-N connectors incorporate an internal radius design that optimizes performance in a low profile configuration. These test cables are also available in 0.086” and 0.141” diameter double shielded, silver plated copper braid over silver plated copper tape, coax designs. Our PE-141FLEX is a flexible cable alternate to RG402, 0.141” diameter semi-rigid coax, and has a solid PTFE dielectric resulting in 69.5% phase velocity. PE-086FLEX is a flexible cable alternate to RG405, 0.086” diameter semi-rigid coax. The smooth wall formed by the braid over spiral ribbon design allows for a flexible cable that has similar performance to a solid wall semi-rigid cable.

These new high performance right angle versions from Pasternack have typical VSWR of 1.25:1, low insertion loss, and also boast high isolation in excess of 90 dB. Additionally, Pasternack’s new cable assemblies have an operating temperature range of -40° to +150°C and stainless steel connectors that have a minimum lifespan of 500 mating cycles.

“Our new low profile, high performance flexible test cables offer engineers and system designers a new-to-market cable solution that easily fits in tight places while maintaining the required electrical performance of the assembly,” explains Steve Ellis, Interconnect Product Manager at Pasternack.

The new low profile SMA, TNC and Type-N test cables from Pasternack are in-stock and ready to ship now.
