Axiros to Present on IoT and Device Management at the CONNECTIONS™ Summit at CES

LeBlanc will participate in the session Platforms, Devices, & Interoperability in the Smart Home on Tuesday at 3:45 pm.

CONNECTIONS™ Summit focuses on the evolving landscape for the connected home, including sessions on connected devices, next-generation TV services and streaming media, IoT and smart home technologies, and consumer tech support. CONNECTIONS™ Summit provides insights into consumer adoption, emerging business models, new partnership opportunities, and the changing technology landscape with insights from leading executives and networking opportunities with the leading analysts in the connected home.

The interactive panel session, moderated by Tom Kerber, Director of Research for Home Controls & Energy at Parks Associates, examines efforts to achieve interoperability and its importance in realizing the vision of the connected home. LeBlanc will specifically address the breadth of consumer interest in the smart home, which crosses multiple categories, and how the strength of that demand relies on all products working seamlessly together.

Axiros excels in this area. Its products are based on the Broadband Forum TR-069 standard which is proven on a half-billion devices. This allows service and application providers to implement a complete management cycle for their smart home devices – from provisioning, to support and monitoring of services. Finally, all Axiros solutions are open and interoperable giving service providers the ability to manage and support any device at any time.

According to Parks Associates research:

  • Approximately two-thirds of U.S. broadband households are unfamiliar with smart home products or services.
  • Nearly 70% of U.S. broadband households are unfamiliar with where to buy smart home products.
  • Sales of smart home devices exceeded 20 million units by the end of 2014 and will increase to 36 million units by 2017.
