Mouser to Release New MultiSIM BLUE Powered by National Instruments

August 4, 2014 – Mouser Electronics today announced the upcoming release of MultiSIM BLUE, the NI Multisim Component Evaluator – Mouser Edition. In collaboration with NI, the new Mouser version of the free tool will add features and functionality to provide engineers with an industry-standard SPICE simulation environment of electronic circuits using Mouser Electronics’ distributed components. Check out the new tool by visiting http://www.mouser.com/MultiSimBlue.

This upcoming release of MultiSIM BLUE will include more than 100,000 electronic components with intuitive simulation features and SPICE analyses. Engineers can now visualize and evaluate linear performance, making this critical step of circuit design easier, faster and far more productive. With MultiSIM BLUE, engineers can easily create schematics, simulate circuits and build printed circuit board layouts, all with one powerful integrated tool. MultiSIM BLUE gives the ability to scheme and simulate, plus it handles PCB layout, Bill of Materials (BOM) and purchasing.

“Providing design engineers and other professionals with the best, most up-to-date and genuine authorized electronic components never has been enough for Mouser,” said Kevin Hess, Vice President of Technical Marketing. “We are constantly looking for ways to take that next step to help all of our customers, particularly design engineers, select, purchase and design the next great thing. With MultiSIM BLUE, Mouser and NI, two giants in the industry, have partnered to set a new standard.”

The advanced circuit design tool is included with a library of more than 100,000 authorized Mouser electronic components from the industry’s leading manufacturers. Simulation is driven by the same advanced parser technology as NI Multisim software with support from BSIM and other advanced parameters. Circuit diagrams can be defined with up to 50 components.

“NI has been providing design engineers with tools to optimize their design performance and reduce time to market for years,” said Ray Almgren, NI Vice President of Marketing. “We’re excited to partner with Mouser to extend the reach of our powerful design tools with MultiSIM BLUE and provide every circuit designer with the latest components in the market.”

Unlike other tools, MultiSIM BLUE provides a fully interactive schematic interface with a full-right-click menu. Part selection is just a click away along with a fully integrated wiring and reviewing platform. MultiSIM BLUE supports a wide range of component types including passives, discretes, analog ICs, discrete signal ICs, mixed signal ICs, sensors, power ICs and protection devices.
