Nallatech to Demonstrate FPGA Acceleration at SC14

Camarillo, Calif. — November 17, 2014 – Nallatech, a leading supplier of high-performance FPGA solutions, will showcase its latest FPGA technology at SC14, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis, at booth #1332, November 17-20 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to see a live demonstration of the advantages of FPGA acceleration, and speak directly with the company’s experts about:

  • Nallatech’s OpenPOWER CAPI Developer Kit: The Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface for IBM POWER8 enables solution architects to significantly improve system-level performance. Nallatech’s PCIe-385 is the first supported CAPI FPGA accelerator card, coherently attached to the fabric of a POWER8 chip and up to 1TB of system memory (www.nallatech.com/capi).
  • A Demonstration of FPGA Acceleration using Lattice Boltzmann with OpenCL: The Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is a technique for simulating the complex fluid systems used in many industries to transmit signals and power. With the OpenCL tool flow, it is now possible to greatly increase acceleration and productivity in HPC for such applications without using specialized FPGA hardware design languages. Nallatech will demonstrate this LBM application at its booth.
  • The Nallatech 385 and 395 FPGA networking cards: These are two powerful platforms for FPGA development and deployment across a range of application areas, including Signal Intelligence, Network Security and Algorithm Acceleration.

“Over the past year, we have seen significant industry news, adoptions, and roadmaps providing proof that FPGAs have found solid traction in the Accelerated HPC market,” said Allan Cantle, president and founder of Nallatech. “Nallatech has been one of the founding innovators of FPGA computing, and with our latest products like the 385 and 395 we offer customers innovative accelerator platforms and services capable of compelling performance.”
