Wavelynx and McObject Announce Partnership to Power Next-Generation Building Access Control Systems

Federal Way, WA – June 3, 2025Wavelynx Technologies, a leader in secure and versatile reader and credential solutions, has partnered with McObject, the creators of eXtremeDB, to integrate eXtremeDB’s high-performance interoperable embedded database into Wavelynx’s next-generation building access control reader. This collaboration enables robust, real-time data management for secure and scalable access control in commercial environments.

As part of its development initiative, Wavelynx sought a persistent database capable of seamlessly supporting the Zephyr Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). eXtremeDB emerged as the ideal solution, offering unparalleled speed, reliability, and efficient memory utilization. The new access control system features a central controller running Zephyr on an ARM RT-1064, managing up to dozens of connected access points. The database is stored on NAND flash (MX35LF4GE4AD), ensuring data integrity and rapid access.

“Security and efficiency are paramount in today’s access control systems,” said Eric Roth, Wavelynx VP of Engineering. “By leveraging eXtremeDB, we ensure that our customers receive a robust, high-performance solution that enhances both real-time processing and data persistence on our devices.”

“We are thrilled to support Wavelynx’s innovation in building access control,” said Shannon Levy, McObject Operations Manager. eXtremeDB’s lightweight yet powerful architecture makes it an excellent fit for resource-constrained environments like embedded systems running Zephyr RTOS.”

The partnership between Wavelynx and McObject underscores a shared commitment to delivering reliable, cutting-edge security solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern enterprises.
