Universal Site Monitoring Picks NevadaNano’s Molecular Property Spectrometer™ Flammable Gas Sensors for Real-time Personal Safety Monitors

MPS™ sensors will bring highly accurate, real-time gas leak detection to mobile phones in existing and future generations of USM personal safety products.

RENO, NEVADA – May 24, 2021 – NevadaNano, the world’s leading innovator in gas detection sensor technology, today announced that Universal Site Monitoring (USM) will use its Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™) Flammable Gas Sensors in their BLE Gas Sensors to bring real-time gas detection capabilities to the mobile phone market. This will allow end-users to monitor gas risks in the field simply by connecting their mobile phone fleet to USM’s Universal Data Interface using their Global Asset Monitor iOS or Android apps, and by pairing the USM BLE Clip-On Gas Sensor to a mobile phone. The non-IS solution is expected to be available end of Q4 2021 following Pilot A Trials. The IS version is scheduled for 2022. Ultimately, USM also plans to incorporate NevadaNano sensors into the next iteration of their Personal Safety Monitors.

“NevadaNano is proud to work with Universal Site Monitoring to bring our revolutionary gas sensing technology to the mobile phone market,” said Ralph Whitten, President, and Member of Board of Directors, at NevadaNano. “We are confident that together, our innovative technology and their drive to make the most reliable and effective safety systems more accessible to workers and businesses, will set new standards of performance and quality.”

Along with other mobile phone sensed data (including location sensing and biometric status) safety-focused businesses using the USM BLE Clip-On Gas Sensor with NevadaNano’s MPS, the mobile phone app and the Universal Data Interface, will gain realtime gas exposure monitoring for multiple gases, alerting, not safe zone entry notification and more. With the realtime data and the advanced analytical capability of the Universal Data Interface, end users can make proactive safety intervention decisions remotely to ensure the well-being of their field operations personnel. In addition to improved health outcomes, the devices improve regulatory and compliance for businesses.

“The NevadaNano MPS is the most advanced LEL gas sensor on the market,” said Emil Tastula, Managing Director at Universal Site Monitoring. “As USM is in the process of commercializing the most advanced Industrial Safety Monitoring System, we are drawn towards utilizing NevadaNano sensors in our devices, to ensure the best possible work health and safety outcomes for our clients.”

Nevada Nano offers a range of unique gas detection sensor for flammables and refrigerants (A1, A2L, and A3s) which deliver unprecedented reliability and accuracy. Unlike traditional sensors, the MPS sensors accurately report 0-100% LEL across 19 flammable gases and Six refrigerant gases with a single factory calibration and no field maintenance over their lifetime. The MPS Flammable Gas sensors’ accuracy is enhanced by integrated, real-time measurements and built-in compensation for temperature, pressure, and humidity. Gas concentration readings are accurate across the full environmental range including rapid environmental transients, delivering best-in-class false-positive accuracy. The company’s MPS sensors are inherently immune to drift, decay, or poison.
