Remote GPU System Benchmarking for Edge AI Projects from Impulse Embedded

Impulse Embedded, a leading provider of industrial computing systems and solutions, is now offering customers the ability to test their code on a GPU computing system before buying project hardware and deploying their AI project at the edge.

The Remote Benchmarking service allows developers to test their model and application code and select a hardware platform that scales with end users, it is adaptable to target environments and that will reduce development costs increasing during the hardware selection and testing process.

Users of this Impulse Embedded service will be given credentials to remotely login and deploy their code on to any one of a number of test systems to determine which platform will be most suitable for their project. This will save time and money in the hardware selection process and allow faster time to market.

Impulse Embedded offer customers access to a wide range of development systems from the entry level Jetson Nano through to the latest AGX Orin and servers capable of housing multiple GPU cards. The opportunity to test AI code on a range of platforms saves time and money and provides an insight into what device works best for the application.

Using the knowledge gained from testing, Impulse Embedded can use their industry insight and technology know-how, to supply the ideal solution taking into account I/O requirements, environmental extremes and any industry specific certifications that may be required.

CASE STUDY – Protex AI

Protex AI use AI-powered technology to enable businesses to gain greater visibility of unsafe behaviours in their facilities. The privacy-preserving platform plugs into existing CCTV infrastructure and uses its computer vision technologies to capture unsafe events autonomously in settings such as warehouses, manufacturing facilities and ports.

“At Protex AI we require edge devices to deploy an on-premises, secure platform to our clients. Some of these clients require tailored solutions with a range of compute demands. We use Impulse Embedded to supply purpose-built hardware for our deployments. Impulse’s remote testing platform has played a valuable part in helping us meet our hardware needs, they’re quick to get us up and running on a remote system to benchmark the latest devices, thus enabling us to select the best device for our needs.”

Matt Moynihan – Protex AI

Whether for current requirements, or for future projects that may differ in terms of scale or individual requirements, the remote benchmarking service from Impulse Embedded can help find the right hardware to move customer’s applications to the edge.

Impulse Embedded capabilities can create reliable, repeatable, and revision-controlled systems aimed at reducing customers overall project costs and development time. An in-house team of engineers and specialists, all with decades of experience, can provide fully deployable embedded computing solutions straight out of the box.
