Distributor announces compliance with SAE Aerospace Standard AS6496

Chicago, United States, 22 January 2018 – Newark element14 is pleased to announce its compliance with AS6496, Fraudulent/Counterfeit Electronic Parts; Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition which ensures delivery of genuine components for customers. Recent years have seen a significant increase in the volume of fraudulent or counterfeit electronic parts entering the aerospace supply chain. The AS6496 standard is the latest SAE International standard in its kind, for dealing with counterfeit electronics in authorized distribution.  The SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) identifies the requirements for mitigating counterfeit products in the Authorized Distribution supply chain by the Authorized Distributor.
