New ZVU series for Panasonic’s range of Hybrid Caps

Latest Hybrid Capacitor series features high Ripple Current and low ESR with high endurance rating / double specification ratings of 125°C and 135°C at 4,000 hours.

Munich, June 2025

Panasonic Industry Europe announces the launch of the ZVU Series Hybrid Capacitors, a cutting-edge solution tailored to meet the escalating demands of advanced electronic systems. The ZVU Series is designed to deliver exceptional reliability, extended lifespan, and outstanding thermal performance.

The ZVU Series Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors stand out with a ripple current range from 3.3Arms to 4.6Arms, up to approximately 2 times higher than comparable case-sizes from competitors, alongside a significantly reduced Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) that is down to 12mΩ. By integrating the strengths of both electrolytic and solid polymer technologies, the ZVU Hybrid Capacitors provide unparalleled performance and efficiency, even in extreme temperature conditions reaching up to 135°C.

Key advantages of the ZVU series:

  •  High Ripple Current (3.3Arms to 4.6Arms): Optimized for power supply applications in automotive, industrial, and communication infrastructure systems.
    •    Compact design: High capacitance from 56µF to 560µF in a space-efficient form factor, perfect for densely packed PCB layouts.
    •    Automotive-grade reliability: Fully compliant with AEC-Q200 standards with anti-vibration solutions, ensuring reliable performance in critical automotive applications.
    •    Sustainability focused: RoHS and REACH compliant, promoting environmentally responsible engineering practices
With the launch of the ZVU series, we are reaffirming our dedication to innovation and performance. These hybrid capacitors are designed for diverse range of applications even in harsh environment, including in-vehicle electronics, powertrain systems, and high-end industrial equipment, where reliability and efficiency are important.

Target Applications Include:

  •  Automotive
    •    Power converters and inverters
    •    Industrial automation and control systems
    •    Communication infrastructure and base stations
