Measure Vibration on Three Axes in Extreme Cryogenic Conditions

Introducing PCB Model 354A14 Case Isolated Cryogenic ICP® Triaxial Accelerometer

January 22, 2025 – Depew, NY – PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) is proud to announce the launch of our new Model  354A14 case isolated cryogenic ICP® triaxial accelerometer. This model is a relatively small size, with three  individually isolated sensing elements. It has exceptional frequency response from 2.5 to 10k Hz throughout the  broad operating temperature range all the way down to -320°F (-196°C). It is the first triaxial accelerometer to  complement PCB’s 351 family of single axis cryogenic accelerometers.

Model 354A14 features:

  • Wide frequency range up to 10k Hz at 10%
  • High resonant frequency of ≥ 25 kHz
  • Small size and low mass
  • Hermetically sealed, made from stainless steel

The 354A14 triaxial accelerometer can be used in a wide variety of test applications but is primarily designed for validation testing of cryogenic gas storage vessels and distribution piping. It can also be used for rocket  motor validation testing, cryogenic fuel system testing, automotive thermal stress screen testing for cold  weather operations, and validation testing of industrial gas compressors / pump system for cryogenic gasses.
