Maker Faire Connecticut Call for Makers Announced

Westport, Connecticut – Change lives by inspiring and connecting people. Be part of Maker Faire Connecticut. 

The Call for Makers for Maker Faire Connecticut is now open. Apply online at: https://connecticut.makerfaire.com/call-for-makers/. 

Maker Faire Connecticut is seeking people eager to share their passion and knowledge about their creations at the Northeast’s largest creativity and innovation event. 

The types of makers being sought include: artists, engineers, performers, musicians, writers, educators, students, businesses and hobbyists. Whether you are a maker who does something creative as a hobby or as a business, Maker Faire Connecticut is the place to let the world know. 

Maker Faire Connecticut is looking for makers with all types of skills and abilities. Whether building drones, crafting furniture, championing sustainability or raising chickens, Maker Faire Connecticut wants you to show what you know. If you have skills that you’d like to share, Maker Faire Connecticut wants to hear from you. 

Engaging, interactive experiences are highly encouraged. 

What started as the Westport Mini Maker Faire in 2012 has been renamed Maker Faire Connecticut for its ninth year in 2020. The event regularly attracts more than 10,000 attendees. 

Maker Faire Connecticut will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, 2020. The event will take place at one of Western Connecticut’s largest venues, Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut. Its expansion to two days also gives attendees more time to interact with world class makers. Attendance is expected to be 15,000 – 20,000 people.

our roster of makers to augment our traditional history of creative makers. This broadens the opportunity for attendees to find more value – and fun – by attending,” he added. 

Makers should apply online at: https://connecticut.makerfaire.com/call-for-makers/. The deadline to apply is February 29, 2020. As maker applications are processed, they will appear on our Web site and social media that will provide them additional exposure.
