Infineon launches TEGRION™ SLI22 automotive security controller with post-quantum cryptography certified to Common Criteria EAL6+

Munich, Germany – 03 March 2026 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY) introduces the 28nm TEGRION™ SLI22, the latest innovation in automotive security controllers, designed to protect the future of connected systems. With its Common Criteria (CC) certification at the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and integrated post-quantum cryptography (PQC), the SLI22 enables compliance with relevant security standards and delivers robust protection against evolving cyber threats posed by advances in quantum computing.

Building on this foundation, the platform can be deployed across a wide range of security-critical applications, including eSIM, V2X, and car access. As part of Infineon’s comprehensive security ecosystem, the TEGRION SLI22 complements established products such as the market-leading SLI37 and SLI97 and further strengthens the company’s overall portfolio. It is based on the advanced Infineon Integrity Guard 32 architecture, providing a robust security framework to reinforce system integrity and reliability. The device is also available in the new ETSI MFF3 package, reducing space requirements by 70 percent compared to MFF2.

“As a leader in automotive security with the longest proven track record, Infineon specializes in providing robust and scalable products tailored to meet highest standards of safety and reliability,” says Tolgahan Yildiz, Head of the Trusted Mobile Connectivity and Transactions Product Line at Infineon. “Our extensive experience and commitment to innovation allow us to anticipate and address potential threats proactively. With a legacy of trust and customer satisfaction, we are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies that safeguard the future of mobility.”

Infineon is a leading player in the field of PQC and is first on the market to offer cutting-edge, hardware-based PQC solutions. SLI22 is part of the TEGRION family with the world’s first Common Criteria EAL6+ certification implementing a PQC algorithm in a security controller.

The high-performance 32-bit CPU, based on Arm® v8-M, delivers exceptional speed and performance while maintaining energy efficiency. With an optimized cache that improves performance by up to 25 percent, and cryptographic accelerators supporting classical and post-quantum algorithms, the TEGRION SLI22 automotive security controller supports robust protection. With an enduring design and 17-year data retention, it provides long-term reliability and performance for vehicles and equipment that are deployed in the field for many years.
