IAR Systems joins STMicroelectronics Partner Program to further accelerate customer time-to-market

Continues to bring leading compiler and debugger technology to ST’s products, technologies, and solutions

Uppsala, Sweden—September 5, 2017—IAR Systems®, the future-proof supplier of software tools and services for embedded development, announces that it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to enable accelerated product development and continued innovation for embedded developers worldwide. IAR Systems is also exhibiting at the ST Developers Conference, September 6 in Santa Clara, CA, United States.

STMicroelectronics (ST), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, has created the ST Partner Program to speed customer development efforts by identifying and highlighting to them companies with complementary products and services. Moreover, the program’s certification process assures that all partners are periodically vetted for quality and competence. For a long time, IAR Systems has been providing powerful and reliable development tools for all ST 8-bit STM8 and 32-bit Arm®-based STM32 microcontrollers, sharing the success with ST through thousands of mutual customers all over the world. The complete development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench® has shown outstanding performance through record-breaking benchmark scores for a number of ST MCUs throughout the years and is an industry-leader when it comes to optimizations. In addition, IAR Embedded Workbench is complemented with worldwide extensive technical support and services.

“In order to meet developers’ needs for simplified workflows and shortened time to market, vendors in the embedded industry must share knowledge and collaborate through integrated technologies,” says Lotta Frimanson, Product Manager, IAR Systems. “We have a long-standing partnership with ST and have been sharing knowledge for many years. The launch of the new ST Partner Program will be great for our joint customers and of course we will continue to collaborate on a deep level to assist companies in their decision process and accelerate their products development.”

“The new ST Partner Program helps customers’ design teams access extra skills and resources to aid engineering development and shorten time-to-market for new products,” says Paolo Alberelli, IAR Systems Partner Manager, STMicroelectronics. “By selecting, qualifying, and certifying our program partners, we are taking yet another major step in helping customers accelerate design and development, and ship to market the most robust and efficient products and services.”
