element14 Community introduces new essentials course module on Automation

lement14.com, an Avnet community, has introduced new resources and expertise to its range of free DIY learning modules to help engineers expand their skillsets through multiple innovative online resources.  Industrial automation is one of the fastest-growing sectors and this module within the element14.com ‘essentials course’ curriculum  includes individual courses on automation in industrial power supplies, electronics manufacturing and semiconductor industries and control panel design:

  • Automation I Control Panel Design sponsored by Panduit: the course covers best practices to follow when designing a control panel.
  • Automation II Traceability in the Electronics Manufacturing and Semiconductors Industries sponsored by Omron: the module discusses the key trends and challenges in this area, and examines application use cases used in the electronics manufacturing and semiconductor industries.
  • Automation III Industrial Power Supplies sponsored by Weidmüller: newly introduced to conclude the series, this learning module covers the essentials of industrial power supplies, including basic concepts, types and applications.

All modules are designed to be short enough to be fully completed in around one hour, concluding with a quiz that members can complete to validate their learning. The courses provide insights for panel builders, systems integrators and designers, as well as industrial and electronic engineers, including those involved in maintenance and repair.
