Efficient and Compact Medical Power Supplies for Space Constrained Applications

Tualatin, OR – August 10, 2021 – CUI Inc, a Bel group company, today announced the addition of twelve new models to its VMS-C and VMS-C-CNF range of internal medical ac-dc power supplies. Considerably extending the offering, these new, higher power models are chassis mount units available in open frame or metal case variations that are perfect for use in medical and home healthcare applications, such as ultrasound machines and medical beds.

Featuring a universal input voltage up to 264 VAC, and output voltages of 12, 15, 24, 27, 36, and 48V, these power supplies can also be adjusted using an onboard trim pot. Offering safety and durability, the units can operate in a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C (+85°C for the 100/120W products). All units feature a 5,000m altitude operational ability, and active power factor correction is included to maximize power quality. Additionally, a low standby power consumption figure of 0.5 W is attained.

In line with previous VMS-C and VMS-C-CNF units, the new models are additionally compact for use in small spaces.

The VMS-C and VMS-C-CNF range are Medical/Household certified to 60601, 61558 and 60335 safety standards, suitable for safety class I or class II installations, and particularly apt for their use in medical applications, especially where a low leakage current of less than 0.1mA is specified.

Summary
Product series: VMS-C (VMS-C-CNF)
Applications: Medical, Dental, Home Healthcare
Distribution availability: Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Future
Datasheets: VMS-100C (VMS-100C-CNF)VMS-120C (VMS-120C-CNF)VMS-180C (VMS-180C-CNF)VMS-200C (VMS-200C-CNF)VMS-225C (VMS-225C-CNF)VMS-350C (VMS-350C-CNF)
