DVCon U.S. 2020 Creates Virtual Follow-Up Conference

To accommodate those unable to attend the conference, the technical program will be available online with some on demand recorded presentations

Louisville, CO – May 26, 2020 – The 2020 Design and Verification Conference and Exhibition U.S. (DVCon U.S.), sponsored by Accellera Systems Initiative (Accellera), has created an online version of its 32nd annual event. Due to travel issues related to the suddenly evolving COVID-19 pandemic last March, many of those that had registered in advance of the conference were unable to attend. The DVCon U.S. 2020 Steering Committee collaborated with presenters and organizers of sessions to create an online experience of the technical program.

The complete presentations, including some with audio recordings, are being released to registered attendees for three weeks, then will be available to the public for an additional two months.

“I’m thrilled that we are continuing the 2020 program online with many of the presentations that were unable to be presented during the live conference,” stated Vanessa Cooper, DVCon U.S. Technical Program Committee Chair. “Due to the rapidly evolving environment at the onset of the conference, we were able to pivot the live program quickly and compress if from four days to three, but that still left many without the benefit of the informative, technical material. I’d like to thank the technical program committee for continuing its efforts and coordinating with the presenters to record some of their papers, posters, tutorials and short workshops for this on-demand experience.”

The program will be available to registered attendees exclusively May 26 – June 16 and will open to the public from June 17 – August 14. Registered attendees will receive their credentials by email.

Each session will provide registered attendees with the ability to post publicly viewable questions to a forum that will be answered by presenters throughout the first three weeks of the online experience. Once the program opens to the public the forum will still be viewable, but no longer active.

Please visit the DVCon U.S. 2020 virtual conference website for program details and to access the virtual conference.

Save the date:  DVCon U.S. 2021 will be held March 1-4.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
