Cincon’s 600W CFM Series: Addressing Today’s Engineering Challenges

FORTEC United Kingdom is introducing the new CFM600S Series from Cincon, a 600W AC-DC power supply designed to directly address the key challenges faced by today’s design and system engineers: space constraints, thermal management, regulatory compliance and long-term reliability.

As power requirements increase and enclosures shrink, engineers are under growing pressure to deliver higher performance without compromising safety, efficiency or service life. The CFM600S responds with a compact 3” × 5” form factor, integrated PFC and a power density of up to 25.97 W/in³, enabling high-power designs without costly mechanical redesigns.

Thermal Flexibility Without Compromise

One of the most common pain points in modern system design is managing heat. The CFM600S provides engineers with genuine thermal flexibility, delivering:

  • Up to 510 W with natural convection
  • Full 600 W via conduction cooling or forced air

This allows designers to choose the most appropriate cooling strategy early in the design phase, reducing risk and avoiding late-stage changes.

Efficiency, Compliance and System Control

With efficiency levels reaching 94.5% and no-load power consumption below 1 W, the CFM600S helps engineers meet increasingly strict energy efficiency targets while minimising heat generation. Low inrush current and low earth leakage further simplify system integration and improve overall robustness.

Certified to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 (3rd Edition) and designed to meet IEC/EN 60335-1, the series reduces compliance burden and accelerates time-to-market. Multiple mechanical variants, baseplate, covered and fan-cooled, give engineers the freedom to adapt the same electrical platform across multiple products.

Integrated remote on/off, power good, standby, and fan outputs enable intelligent system control, sequencing, and diagnostic features that are characteristic of professional-grade equipment.

Designed for Longevity

With full protection coverage, Class B EMC compliance, high isolation and -40 °C to +85 °C operation, the CFM600S is built for real-world conditions, not just datasheet performance. For engineers designing equipment intended to operate continuously in public, industrial or automated environments, it offers confidence across the entire product lifecycle.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
