Semtech and myDevices to Build Interactive Demonstration Platform for LoRa® IoT Solutions

CAMARILLO, Calif., December 22, 2015 – Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced a technology partnership with myDevices, an Internet of Things (IoT) solutions company that helps simplify the connected world, to build an interactive IoT demonstration platform using advanced visualization tools. The interactive platform will allow LoRa® hardware manufacturers to showcase their modules and sensors remotely and in real time.

The platform is open to all hardware manufacturers with LoRa-enabled devices. The platform allows anyone in the world to not only view an online catalog of connected devices, but also control these objects to obtain real-time data feedback using a handheld mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet. For example, in a smart building demo, users can set triggers to control the lights, schedule the temperature settings of the thermostat, and set alerts when a door is left open.

myDevices will provide the interactive IoT platform equipped with a library of connected components and observable live data via widgets in an enhanced dashboard. The demonstration platform will eventually be displayed at Semtech headquarters in Camarillo, Calif. and on Semtech’s website. LoRa hardware manufacturers interested in showcasing their IoT solution should email semtech@myDevices.com.

“Semtech and myDevices share a similar goal in accelerating time-to-market for developers who invest time, energy, and creativity making IoT projects,” said Kevin Bromber, CEO of myDevices. “Our joint-collaboration provides an innovative solution for LoRa device manufactures to showcase their devices and present real use-cases across a variety of IoT applications in healthcare, connected home, smart buildings, water monitoring, etc.”

“Our LoRa wireless RF technology is being implemented in a wide range of unique IoT solutions, and a concise, interactive platform to demonstrate its capability is exactly what we needed,” said Alberto Guerra, Chief Marketing Officer of Semtech. “myDevices’ demonstration technology is an outstanding opportunity for us to showcase all of our LoRa Alliance partners’ solutions and give interested parties a simplified look at the vast array of IoT solutions LoRa is enabling.”

Semtech and myDevices will be providing a sneak peek of the live IoT platform at CES 2016 in The Venetian Suite 31-324 by appointment only. To schedule a meeting, contact ceslora@semtech.com

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
