Avalue grandly launches EMS-CDV-Marine IEC EN60945 Certified Marine Embedded Box PC

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, October 8th, 2015 – Avalue Technology Inc. (TAIEX: 3479-TW), a global embedded computing solution provider and an associate member of the Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance, grandly launches EMS-CDV-Marine IEC EN60945 Certified Marine Embedded system for maritime applications, such as control room, IBS (integrated bridge system), propulsion control or safety system. Designed with high reliability and low maintenance, EMS-CDV-Marine is a powerful and versatile embedded system featured with a range of graphics, I/O extension flexibility and robust designs to provide configurability to meet a range of maritime applications with the marine certification approval.

System performance and functions
EMS-CDV-Marine is equipped with onboard Intel® Atom™ D2550 1.86GHz CPU to provide low power consumption and avoid possible malfunction caused by vibration or shock. 6 COM (4 COM w/2.5KV Isolated Protection), 2 PCIe slots and 5 USBs provides flexibility of expansion. 1x 12 bit GPIO connector allows users easy to define and connect various devices to fit applications. Front access swappable hard drive and SIM card slot provide ease of operation and convenience.

IEC EN60945 standards certified
To get into maritime applications, EMS-CDV-Marine follows marine standards and is IEC EN609445 certified. This system is no problem to operate continuously under critical conditions, including shock, vibration, wide operation temperature and wide power input. With being this IEC609445 certification, EMS-CDV-Marine guarantees a well functional system under high humidity, strong sunshine and provides high resistance of oil and corrosion.

Compact yet rugged design
EMS-CDV-Marine is slim and compact design to save more space and be more adoptable on ships or boats. Its aluminum extrusion and heavy-duty steel chassis are given to provide strong and solid construction for well system protection. To increase the stability and durability, this compact system is fanless operation and is able to be smoothly functional under harsh temperature conditions: -10 ~ 60°C. To deal with the possibility of power instability and increase the flexibility of installation, EMS-CDV-Marine accepts wide range power input from +10~+ 27.5V (-10/+30%). Furthermore, this system comes with mounting brackets for easy installations and being firmly fixed.

The lowest maintenance
The maintenance somehow could be critical on ships and boats. To make the maintenance the lowest, our design team keeps the usage of the moving parts as less as possible, such as adoption of onboard CPU, fanless operation and cable-less design. Therefore, EMS-CDV-Marine is able to provide exceptional reliability and simplify maintenance procedures. Furthermore, the front accessible hard disk and SIM card slot deliver the convenience for maintenance, upgrade and displacement.
