Cavium and Quantenna to Deliver Industry-Leading 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi Solutions for Campus and Home WLAN Networks

SAN JOSE, CA, Sep. 9th, 2015 – Cavium, Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, wired and wireless networking today announced that it has expanded its partnership with Quantenna Communication to deliver the latest high-performance 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi solutions for campus,  home and high-density environments. The newly announced Quantenna True 8×8™ QSR10G Wi-Fi platform paired with Cavium’s leading OCTEON® III CN71XX high performance, low power quad-core processors will address the capacity, reliability, thermal and security challenges in next generation Wi-Fi access points, routers and gateways.

Wi-Fi has now become a ubiquitous utility in home, work and public venues. Social media, online video and home entertainment are driving bandwidth-demanding applications such as real-time video sharing and 4K video streaming. The need for high capacity, flexible and scalable Wi-Fi is greater than ever. With up-to 12 streams and MU-MIMO support, the Quantenna 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi platform is able to support more clients and more capacity. The 10G-capable CN7130 processor compliments the Quantenna 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi by providing the ability to process and securely transport data for up to hundreds of users while providing  QoS and deep packet inspection (DPI) in a low cost, low power envelope.
