Neonode Will Showcase zForce DRIVE at the 66th Frankfurt Motor Show IAA

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Neonode Inc. (NASDAQ:NEON), the leading optical touch and proximity technology company for automotive Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, will in cooperation with Autoliv Inc.(NYSE:ALV) (SSE:ALIVsdb), the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems, showcase the innovative zForce(R) DRIVE(TM) MultiSensing(R) steering wheel at the 66th Frankfurt Motor Show IAA.

zForce DRIVE steering wheel is already in testing with a number of large automotive OEMs. The gesture and touch enabled steering wheel focuses on safety and usability in the soon to arrive new generation of cars. Using the same taps, and sweep gestures that Neonode invented for mobile devices, a driver can easily control advanced systems in the car in an easy and intuitive way, with the hands safely positioned on the steering wheel and the eyes focused on the road. Controls will always appear at the driver’s fingertips, regardless of where the hands are positioned on the steering wheel. The innovative HMI limits the number of gestures, making the systems as easy to learn to operate as a regular computer mouse. The system enables the new generation of connected car to offer the driver an unsurpassed, customizable, driving experience – with minimal driver distraction.

The Frankfurt Motor Show IAA is a premier event on the automotive calendar. The world’s leading automotive car manufacturers will have the opportunity to “test drive” Neonode’s zForce DRIVE and experience firsthand this groundbreaking technology.

“The response from the automotive OEMs that have seen and tested the zForce DRIVE steering wheel has greatly surpassed the expectations of all involved. At the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA, we place our zForce DRIVE on the world stage and we believe that our unique technology will be a standout success,” said Thomas Eriksson, CEO at Neonode.

Achieve Greater Design Flexibility and Reduce Costs with Chiplets

Sponsored by Keysight

Chiplets are a new way to build a system-on-chips (SoCs) to improve yields and reduce costs. It partitions the chip into discrete elements and connects them with a standardized interface, enabling designers to meet performance, efficiency, power, size, and cost challenges in the 5 / 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) era. This white paper will discuss the shift to chiplet adoption and Keysight EDA's implementation of the communication standard (UCIe) into the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).
