New Quad 10GbE Port FMC From VadaTech Features Signal Conditioning

Henderson, NV – June 2, 2015 – VadaTech, a manufacturer of embedded boards and complete application-ready platforms, has announced a FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) per VITA 57 for high-speed networking.

The FMC109 features quad SFP/SFP+ transceivers for 10 GbE in copper or fiber formats.  The mezzanine module has four re-timers on the board which provide tuning for the Tx and Rx signals.  The re-timer ICs provide input equalization, clock and data recovery, and output de-emphasis.  This also allows for the use of longer copper cables as the distortion is cleaned across the farther distances.

VadaTech’s FMCs can be utilized in the company’s MicroTCA/AMC or VPX carriers.   The company also offers the full suite of Xilinx-based FPGA carriers and several Altera versions in the AMC form factor.
