Quantum Materials to Announce New Class of High-Reliability Quantum Dots at SID Display Week 2015

SAN MARCOS, Texas, May 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Leading North American quantum dot manufacturer Quantum Materials Corp (OTCQB:QTMM) today announced plans to introduce a new class of high-reliability Cadmium-free quantum dots at the Society of Information Display (SID)Display Week 2015 International Symposium in San Jose June 1st.

“We have optimized a new class of rugged and highly-reliable quantum dots with robust resistance to heat, oxidation and moisture,” said Quantum Materials Corp CEO Stephen Squires. “We expect that the environmental resistance of these custom quantum dots will reduce the need for high component cost protective barrier films in display manufacturing and accelerate solid state lighting development due to their high heat and oxidation stability. We will be releasing additional detail during Display Week and look forward to briefing customers and media there.”

In addition, Quantum Materials Vice President Dr. Michael Krueger will be presenting at BIT’s 4th Annual World Congress of Advanced Materials at8:30 AM on May 28th on ‘The accomplishment of large-scale automated synthesis of quantum dots for industrial applications’ at Chongqing International Convention & Exhibition Center, China.
