Saelig Launches GDS-200 and GDS-300 Compact/Portable Digital Oscilloscopes

Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the GDS-200/300 series of battery-powered, compact 2-channel 1GSa/s digital oscilloscopes featuring a large 7″ touch panel LCD for portrait or landscape operation. Available in 70MHz, 100MHz and 200MHz bandwidth versions, the maximum sample rate per channel is 1GSa/s and memory depth is 5Mpts. These oscilloscopes feature a built-in digital multimeter (5,000 counts for GDS-200; 50,000 counts for GDS-300) which can simultaneously measure and monitor A.C. and D.C. voltage and current, and temperature. Trend plots over a long time allow engineers to effectively monitor standard electric parameters while measuring basic circuit signals.

The oscilloscopes can store and retrieve waveform images and raw data via a USB interface. Additionally, the oscilloscope can be connected with smart phones to transmit the recorded data to a remote location. A built-in engineering calculator with attenuation calculation analysis and resistance indication help users apply auxiliary functions with experimental procedures. The touch-panel LCD simplifies the oscilloscope’s operation for moving waveforms up and down, setting trigger levels, and entering menu selections. Two-point touch allows users to adjust vertical voltage levels or to enlarge or reduce timescale settings.

In test situations, a digital multimeter is often needed in addition to an oscilloscope. The GDS-200/300 series oscilloscopes integrate the functions of an oscilloscope and a DMM to make and display simultaneous measurements in one compact unit. The GDS-200/300 series oscilloscopes have a built-in 1Mpt/5Mpt memory for up to 30,000 waveforms, enabling powerful search and debug capabilities. They can also be used as USB storage devices to store and retrieve waveform files. Connecting through the isolated USB interface to a PC, handheld device or smartphone allows users to easily upload screenshots and measurement results to a remote location.

The GDS-300 series oscilloscopes feature built-in temperature measurement and logging functions for conducting temperature logging experiments with B,E,J,K,N,R,S,T-type thermocouple probes for Celsius and Fahrenheit measurements. Users can also use trend plot editing to conduct temperature monitoring over a long period for quality assurance and test situations.

Made by test and measurement specialists GW Instek, the GDS-200/300 series oscilloscopes are available now from Saelig Company, Inc.
