Avnet Embedded, TrueUC Solutions LLC Bring Cloud-Based Unified Communications Solutions to Global Market

PHOENIX—September 15, 2014—Avnet Embedded, a division of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with TrueUC Solutions LLC, a provider of hosted real-time voice and video communications solutions. Avnet Embedded will now offer TrueUC’s flagship unified communications (UC) software – TrueUConnect, TrueContact and TrueCapture – to customers globally.

UC solutions, like TrueUConnect, TrueContact and TrueCapture, are designed to enhance communications and optimize processes within and between businesses by bringing disparate voice, video and mobile applications together on fixed and mobile networks, allowing users to connect anywhere, anytime using any device, operating system or communications medium.

The TrueUConnect software-as-a-service (SaaS) model enables Microsoft Lync® and Office 365 customers to leverage their existing investment in different VoIP protocols like legacy H.323, SIP end-points or virtual meeting rooms, with the cost-effective, efficient and secure delivery of cloud-based services that reduce latency, manage flows, and eliminate device and media dependencies.

To increase call center agent productivity and shorten customer response times, TrueContact is an intelligent call routing system that can identify and deliver calls to the most appropriate agent based on predetermined criteria, such as called number, caller ID, call region, data entry, value, time of day and agent skills.

Taking both business-to-business and business-to-consumer engagements to the next level, the TrueCapture video portal leverages the industry-standard Microsoft Lync® UC solution to enable secure, two-way communication via high-definition video calls, giving customers and business partners the experience of an in-person meeting with company resources, regardless of their physical location.

“The right communications and collaboration tools are vital to enabling greater productivity in today’s highly dispersed enterprises, and to maintaining strong and trusted relationships with both customers and suppliers,” said John Salemme, vice president and general manager of Avnet Embedded. “TrueUC’s cutting-edge cloud solutions platform can transform organizational communications, and together we look forward to bringing these critical business tools to our customers.”

“The Avnet and TrueUC alliance brings a holistic view of organizational communications, which are being challenged by dramatic growth and limited resources. The opportunity stems from integrating information from the explosion of Microsoft Lync® and Office 365 in new ways,” said Michael Gompers, managing partner, TrueUC Solutions. “Together we will transform companies by enabling solutions that help manage growth and serve internal and external customers better. Through this alliance, Avnet and TrueUC will realize a vision of unlocking the vast potential of Microsoft Lync®and Office 365 installations around the world. We will enable Microsoft® users to be more efficient and productive; and truly make investments in Microsoft Lync® and Office 365 more valuable.”
