Micropower 30µV Op Amp Settles in 15µS to 0.0015%

MILPITAS, CA – March 31, 2014 – Linear Technology introduces the LT6020, a dual 3V to 30V fast settling operational amplifier, featuring 30µV maximum input offset voltage and 0.5µV/°C max VOS drift. While supply current is only 100µA maximum per amplifier, proprietary slew enhancement circuitry provides fast clean output step response. The LT6020 settles to 0.0015% in less than 15µs regardless of whether the output step is 5V or 25V. Specially designed input circuitry maintains high impedance, minimizing current spikes associated with fast steps for input steps up to 5V. Together these features make the LT6020 ideal for high precision multiplexed data acquisition systems, DAC buffer applications, and portable high precision instruments.

The LT6020-1 includes a shutdown mode, reducing the supply current to less than 3µA when the amplifier is in active. Enable time of 100µs and fast slew rate combine to provide power-efficient operation in duty-cycled applications, such as those featuring Linear Technology’s Dust Networks® wireless sensor network technology.

Fully specified over the -40°C to 85°C and -40°C to 125°C temperature ranges, the LT6020 is available in MSOP-8 and 3mm x 3mm DFN packages. Prices start at $1.85 each in quantities of 1,000 units. For more information, visitwww.linear.com/product/LT6020.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
