Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas Signs Distribution Agreement with ZigBee Module Manufacturer, MMB Networks

PHOENIX– January 29, 2014  — Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has signed a distribution agreement with MMB Networks, a leading global designer and manufacturer of ZigBee module solutions.

MMB Networks’ ZigBee modules and USB sticks provide a complete connectivity solution powered by MMB’s RapidConnect software platform, and backed up by MMB’s world-class support services. RapidConnect fully automates ZigBee Smart Energy and ZigBee Home Automation — adapting to multiple connected home platforms and enabling new ones. This allows OEMs not only to rapidly add connectivity to their product, but to sell those products through a variety of home automation, security and smart energy channels.
