Saelig Announces High Performance 6 1/2 Digit DMM

Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Company, Inc. – (www.saelig.com) has introduced the GDM-8261A – a high precision 6 ½ digit Digital Multimeter with dual measurement displays, 11 measurement functions, and 10 highly accurate math functions (35ppm DC voltage accuracy) to accommodate the most frequently performed parameter measurements in many application fields.  The GDM-8261A offers current measurement ranges as low as 100 microamps (100pA resolution) or as high as 10A, and voltage measurements with a resolution of 100nV.  In addition, 10 different math functions can be selected in order to display dB, dBm, or other complex measurement applications. Unlike most “dual measurement” digital meters which show the test result on the main display and range information on the second display, the GDM-8261A performs two measurements simultaneously and shows both results on two displays.

The GDM-8261A can be fitted with an optional scanner card for measuring 16 voltage channels and 2 current channels at 2400 readings/sec to facilitate the measurement of multiple test points on one or many devices – all at the press of a single button.  With this multi-point measurement capability, the GDM-8261A can be used as a semi-automatic ATE system to increase the throughput of manufacturing test – or as a datalogger to perform long-term monitoring or characterization of a device under test.  The DMM-Viewer PC software package is available to support the multi-channel measurements of the scanner card.  A LabVIEW driver is also available to help users create virtual instruments for automated test set-ups.  Both USB and RS-232 interfaces are standard, with GPIB or LAN user-installable options also available.

The GDM-8261A is available now from Saelig Company Inc. from $950.00.  For detailed specifications, free technical assistance, or additional information, please contact Saelig (585) 385-1750, via email: info@saelig.com, or visit www.saelig.com.
