MWA Intelligence to Deliver INTEGRITY Trusted Smartphones to the Imaging Channel

SCOTTSDALE, AZ and SANTA BARBARA, CA — October 14, 2013 — MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWAi), a SAP Gold Partner and leader in enterprise-class Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Machine-to-People (M2P) solutions, and Green Hills Software, the leading supplier of embedded and mobile virtualization solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to offer an integrated trusted mobile solution to the Imaging Channel dealer network. Under the agreement, MWAi will offer MWAi Mobile Trust, a family of trusted smartphones and tablets built with INTEGRITY® Multivisor™ virtualization technology for Android and enabled by MWAi FORZA with SAP Business One. The MWAi Mobile Trust solution offers Imaging Channel field service operators an Android mobile device that guarantees the protection of enterprise data. The solution delivers military-grade security for business data and applications while ensuring ultimate client privacy.

The architecture at the heart of MWAi Mobile Trust was first delivered to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to address stringent security, privacy, and manageability standards while enabling an uncompromised user experience and dramatically reducing total cost of ownership. MWAi and Green Hills Software are teaming to bring the most trusted and secure COTS mobile devices to the Imaging Channel dealer network.

MWAi Mobile Trust devices are pre-programmed with Green Hills Software’s INTEGRITY Multivisor security technology, a separation kernel-based type-1 hypervisor that delivers a level of security that cannot be achieved with mobile OS-level mechanisms such as application wrapping, containers, access control, or encrypted workspaces.

“MWAi Mobile Trust is an industry first in innovation and leadership,” said Michael T. Stramaglio, president and CEO of MWA Intelligence. “MWAi FORZA, integrated with INTEGRITY Multivisor technology, allows Imaging Channel dealers to deploy services to their 50,000 field representatives and technicians with the ultimate level of protection, security, trust and privacy.”

“Our relationship with MWAi extends back many years and has always focused on expert security solutions for the print and imaging market,” said Gordon Jones, vice president for Secure Virtualization, Green Hills Software. “INTEGRITY Multivisor security architecture provides the dealer network with military-grade security while delivering the latest consumer smartphone solutions with modern multimedia and social networking capability.”

Availability

MWAi Mobile Trust devices built with INTEGRITY Multivisor technology and running on Samsung smartphones are available today for trials with Imaging Channel dealers. The solution includes device acquisition and delivery, front-line integration, and technical support to both users and enterprise administrators.

About INTEGRITY Multivisor

Shipping since 2003, INTEGRITY Multivisor virtualization technology is built upon security-certified separation kernel technology that provides highly assured isolation between one or more “guest” operating systems (personas) while also providing a native open standard execution environment for security-critical tasks, including FIPS 140-2-certified and NSA Suite B-compliant data encryption, user authentication, security event auditing, and remote management. INTEGRITY Multivisor technology offers several approaches to virtualization in ARM-powered devices, including paravirtualization and full virtualization with or without hardware hypervisor acceleration. As the digital world grows in complexity, no single operating system suffices. The hypervisor provides the right level of abstraction – the virtual machine – for flexibility, scalability, and portability, enabling elegant yet practical solutions to previously intractable computing problems. Green Hills Software is a Gold member of the Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program (SEAP).
