New USB-Friendly Charger Receptacles Available from Newark element14

October 3, 2013 – CHICAGO – Newark element14 is stocking Hubbell’s new USB Charger Receptacles which provide USB and electrical power in a standard single gang electrical opening. Ideal for use in renovation or new construction, the products bring USB charging capacity to any facility.

Two 15 or 20-Amp tamper-resistant outlets provide power for appliances, while two 3-Amp USB ports provide more charging options for personal electronics. The USB ports are capable of charging two tablets simultaneously, and a green LED light indicates USB power.

A hospital grade version is available for use in healthcare facilities and medical labs, but the products are also well-suited for universities, dormitories, hotels, restaurants, airports, classrooms and homes. They can be found in a variety of colors including black, grey, ivory, light almond, red and white for $47.46 at Newark.com.

This new product is part of a larger investment by Newark element14, significantly expanding its connector portfolio. The recently completed investment added thousands of parts to stock, further supporting the design activities of Newark element 14’s engineering customers.

Achieve Greater Design Flexibility and Reduce Costs with Chiplets

Sponsored by Keysight

Chiplets are a new way to build a system-on-chips (SoCs) to improve yields and reduce costs. It partitions the chip into discrete elements and connects them with a standardized interface, enabling designers to meet performance, efficiency, power, size, and cost challenges in the 5 / 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) era. This white paper will discuss the shift to chiplet adoption and Keysight EDA's implementation of the communication standard (UCIe) into the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).
