Lintech Components Receives IDEA QMS-9090 Certification

Ronkonkoma NY, October 2, 2013- Lintech Components has recently been audited by the Independent Distributors of Electronics Association (IDEA) and has been granted certification to their newly released QMS-9090-A Quality System Standard.

The standard, established for existing IDEA members, builds onto Lintech’s current AS9120 and ISO 9001 Quality Management System, adding requirements for the detection and mitigation of counterfeit electronic components. Since Lintech has maintained a robust counterfeit avoidance program for several years, the audit passed with no findings.

“Lintech is proud to be one of the first Independent Distributors to receive IDEA’s QMS 9090 certification. This certificate builds on to our already multi-layered quality management system, and is testimony to Lintech’s core philosophy of strong quality control and best practice solutions for our highly valued customers,” stated Ken Linden, President of Lintech Components.

About Lintech Components

Lintech has served as a leading, world-class stocking distributor of electronic components for over 20 years. Recognizing that component counterfeiting is an industry wide problem requiring an industry wide solution, Lintech Components has made significant investments to combat counterfeit components in today’s uncertain market. Our state of the art counterfeit avoidance policies and procedures, and quality management systems are ISO 9001, AS9120, CCAP-101, ANSI/ESD S20.20, IDEA-STD-1010 certified, and AS6081 compliant, awaiting certification. Lintech also serves as a DLA QSLD and QTSL approved government supplier.

About IDEA

The Independent Distributors of Electronics Association (IDEA) is a non-profit trade association supported by a group of quality and ethically oriented Independent Distributors of electronic components. Utilizing a comprehensive approach that focuses on programs and best practices that establish quality standards, IDEA provides the industry with the access to and sharing of relevant knowledge, in order to advance industry ethics and integrity. IDEA has currently published three industry standards: IDEA-STD-1010 inspection process for counterfeit detection, IDEA-ICE-3000 certification for professional inspectors, and the newly released quality system standard, IDEA-QMS-9090.

Achieve Greater Design Flexibility and Reduce Costs with Chiplets

Sponsored by Keysight

Chiplets are a new way to build a system-on-chips (SoCs) to improve yields and reduce costs. It partitions the chip into discrete elements and connects them with a standardized interface, enabling designers to meet performance, efficiency, power, size, and cost challenges in the 5 / 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) era. This white paper will discuss the shift to chiplet adoption and Keysight EDA's implementation of the communication standard (UCIe) into the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).
