Gladiator Technologies Announces Release of High Accuracy LandMark™ 50 MEMS

High Accuracy Pitch and Roll Angle Outputs and ARW Noise of 0.001°/sec/?Hz (0.042°/?Hour)

Gladiator Technologies announced their next release in their high performance LandMarkTM 50 product family, the LandMark™ 50 Vertical Gyro (VG). This new VG builds upon the successful heritage of the company’s low noise LandMarkTM VG product families, including the LandMark™ 10, 20, 21, 22, 30 and 40. The VG is form, fit and function interchangeable with the LandMark™ 30 VG, yet offers substantial improvement in performance utilizing their newest high performance MEMS gyros and accelerometers.

All the LandMark™ VG’s use only gyros and accelerometers to accurately calculate pitch and roll angles with no other sensor inputs required. The unit also can accommodate a wide input power range from +6V to +36V. All our VG’s share a common VG messaging protocol for a “common cockpit” approach enabling users the option to choose the VG performance, size, weight and price that best suits their application without having to rewrite any VG interface software. This latest addition to our family of VG’s offers exceptional pitch and roll angle output accuracy as well as ultra-low noise and bias while including the other feature-rich advantages of its predecessor VG’s. The LandMark™ 50 features robust environmental sealing for EMI protection as well as user selectable RS485 data rates of 100Hz (4 KHz internal sampling rate).

The LandMark™ 50 VG has many advanced performance features including:

  • Pitch & Roll Angles ±0.25° typical
  • Wide Input Voltage Range +6V to +36V
  • Low Gyro Noise 0.001°/sec/?Hz (0.042°/?Hour)
  • Low Accel Noise 0.025mg/?Hz
  • In-Run Gyro Bias 1°/hour 1 ?
  • Fully Temperature Compensated Bias and Scale Factor
  • Misalignment 1mrad and g-Sensitivity <0.002°/sec/g 1?
  • External Sync Input (1 kHz or 1pps)
  • Bandwidth Filtering Capability
  • High MTBF
  • Export U.S. Commerce ECCN7A994
  • Link to datasheet, data & images

Gladiator’s CEO, Mark Chamberlain, stated, “Gladiator Technologies has produced a long pedigree of vertical gyros for many applications and we are excited to now offer an exceptional MEMS-based high performance product in the new LandMarkTM 50 VG.”

Gladiator uses state-of-the-art design tools and manufacturing processes including fully automated environmental and temperature testing and proprietary calibration methods for environmental performance optimization. Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
