Power Supply Selector guide provides quick and easy method for specifying power supplies

XP Power today launched the first edition of its new style short form product catalog. The full color 56 page Power Supply Selector guide uses an extremely informative yet visually pleasing method of presenting XP Power’s comprehensive line-up of AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters. Key specifications for each product range is provided in an easy to follow layout, and the task of initial range selection is simplified by the use of index pages containing thumbnail images of each series organized by type and output power rating. The complete range of XP Power’s portfolio is represented with AC-DC units covering the output range of 5 to 3000 Watts, and DC-DC converters from 0.25 to 600 Watts.

Recent product additions covered in the guide include, what is believed to be, the world’s smallest 5 W and 10 W AC-DC encapsulated PCB mounted modules, open-frame power supplies with efficiencies up to 95%, and convection cooled power supplies providing up to 200 Watts output from an industry standard 3 x 5 inch package.  Also detailed are power supplies having medical safety approvals, available in the range from 15 W to 2500 W.  Another recent product development included in the guide are DC-DC converter ranges that can accommodate the extremely wide range of input voltages commonly encountered in rail transportation applications.

Throughout the guide a legend key is used to identify those products that have a medical safety standard version available and, for both component and external power supplies, those that meet the stringent energy efficiency standards for no-load power and efficiency. A section within the guide summarizes the main requirements of XP Power’s Green Power specification, based around the Energy Efficiency Level V standard.

Introductory sections of the guide highlight XP Power’s expertise in the healthcare, industrial and technology markets. The development of engineered power solutions are also detailed where applications cannot be fulfilled with a standard product or where integrated products are required. Using XP Engineering Services in this way can provide a fast, low risk, low development cost alternative to designing a specialist power supply from scratch.

The Power Supply Selector guide is available now and can be downloaded at www.xppower.com. A print copy can be requested online or by contacting a local XP Power office directly.

XP Power also provides power supply selection applications for the iPhone and Android-
based devices. These are available from www.xppower.com.
